Born in 1973, Brian Thomas Woods is an artist that believes in letting an image take its
own shape through trial and experimentation. That often means letting go of preconceived
notions and just letting things happen. Brian began painting in acrylics but has switched recently
to oils, enjoying the fluidity and expressive blending qualities they impart to his work.
Brian tends to see the world through humour-tinted glasses and enjoys amusing others and
himself through different modes of expression and subject matter. He is well traveled and enjoys
the effect different cultures and experiences have had on his perspective and artwork.
Brian is a member of the Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists (A.S.F.A.)

home studio in St. Catharines. There he continues to explore the oil medium and an ever changing
and diverse range of subjects. His work is presently hanging in homes across Canada and is part
of various collections worldwide.
